UIS overcame a four-point halftime deficit to secure the victory, with a strong second-half performance in the paint. UIS stayed competitive down the stretch and pulled out the win in the final moments.

Illinois Springfield women's basketball (3-4, 1-1 GLVC) picked up its first conference win of the 2025-26 season with a 75-49 victory over William Jewell (0-5, 0-1 GLVC), converting 25 steals into 44 points off turnovers.

The busiest week of the basketball season so far comes to TRAC as conference play moves into full swing. UIS will host three GLVC doubleheaders, each packed with fun for Prairie Stars fans, beginning Monday night.
