The Illinois Springfield women's soccer team begins a two-game road swing Wednesday, traveling to Quincy for a 5 p.m. GLVC matchup at Legends Stadium.

Illinois Springfield enters the contest 3-3-1 overall and 1-2-1 in GLVC play after playing three straight tight matches. The Prairie Stars fell 1-0 in consecutive games against Drury and Truman State before earning a 1-1 draw at Missouri S&T, with senior Rachel Riney scoring UIS' lone goal.

UIS Athletics is gearing up to kick off the 2026-27 Prairie Stars basketball season with its annual Tip-Off Dinner. The event is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, at the UIS TRAC Arena. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with dinner beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Illinois Springfield men's golf is tied for eighth in a 17-team field after playing one full round and 13 holes of the second round at the UIndy Fall Invitational at Broadmoor Country Club on Monday.

The Prairie Stars opened with a 1-under 287 before shooting 2-under as a team through 13 holes of the second round. UIS sits at 3-under for the tournament and will resume play Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. CT.

Illinois Springfield women's golf sits atop the leaderboard after two rounds of the Kansas City Cup, taking an eight-stroke lead into Tuesday's final round at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex.

The Prairie Stars carded rounds of 23-over 311 and an impressive 17-over 305 to finish the opening day at 40-over 616. The 305 was the best round in the field so far. UIS leads a field featuring eight teams, including seven GLVC opponents. Lincoln sits in second at 48-over 624, followed by Rockhurst at 50-over 626.
