Illinois Springfield women's tennis dropped a 4-0 decision at home to reigning GLVC champion Rockhurst on Sunday at Washington Park.
The Prairie Stars were competitive throughout the match, particularly in doubles play and at No. 2 singles, but ultimately came up short against one of the top teams from the GLVC East.
The UIS softball team (23-11, 7-5) split a doubleheader against Missouri S&T (19-13, 6-4) on Sunday afternoon, winning the first game 7-4 before falling in the second game 5-1.

Freshman Mackenzie Billard turned in a standout performance in the 1500 meters, finishing 3rd in in 5:07. Olivia Thomsen set a personal best with a 6th-place finish in the same heat in a time of 5:17.

The Illinois Springfield softball team split a Saturday doubleheader against Drury at Thompson Field, falling 5-0 in the opener before bouncing back with a 12-11 victory in game two. UIS now stands at 22-10 overall and 6-4 in GLVC play, while Drury moved to 15-16 overall and 5-5 in conference action.

No. 24-ranked Illinois Springfield secured a Saturday sweep of Quincy, taking game one 9-5 in walk-off fashion before rolling to an 18-1 victory in game two. The Prairie Stars improved to 21-7 overall and 10-1 in GLVC play, while Quincy fell to 19-12 and 8-7 in the conference.

Quincy struck first in the opener with an RBI double in the first inning and a solo home run from in the second to build a 2-0 lead.
