Welcome to the UIS Institute for Race, Gender, Sexuality, and Social Justice, a new hub for academic study and campus and community outreach.
Our mission is to foster interdisciplinary connections within and outside of the UIS campus to help address social justice issues in central Illinois and beyond. We offer a major in Liberal Studies, a minor in Women and Gender Studies, and a minor in African American Studies, and we can connect organizations and businesses with resources to build and strengthen Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ) initiatives.
