This year's window for Reporting Non-University Activities (RNUA) will be Monday, September 14, 2026 - Monday, September 28, 2026. Even if there are no activities to report, a disclosure must be submitted by each covered individual.
Disclosures are completed in the myDisclosures system and are required for employees covered by the University of Illinois System Policies on Conflict of Interest. This includes:
- Academic professionals
- Academic hourlies
- Hourly faculty
- Postdoctoral associates
- Faculty ranks for professor, associate professor, assistant professor, instructors, and lecturers.
- This definition includes retired individuals with active appointments, as well as individuals with 0% unpaid appointments consistent with those named above who have University Responsibilities involving University research or who have access to University laboratories or equipment for the purpose of research.
There will be two Zoom trainings on how to complete disclosures. This is suggested for all covered personnel.
- Tuesday, September 15, 2026; 9-10am. Register for the Tuesday Disclosure Completion session.
- Friday, September 18, 2026; 9-10am. Register for the Friday Disclosures Completion session.
A recording of one of the sessions will be uploaded to the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs YouTube channel.
Review of Disclosures:
Note: Assistants can return, review, and set recommended statuses, but cannot grant final approval.
First Level Reviews are due October 19, 2026. For UIS academic units, this is typically conducted by Deans and Directors. For non-academic units, this is typically conducted by Vice Chancellors.
Second Level Reviews are due November 9, 2026. Most second level reviews are forwarded to the provost or chancellor.
