As announced by the NCAA on Monday afternoon, the Illinois Springfield women's golf team has officially earned a spot in the 2025 NCAA Division II East Regional. The Prairie Stars will compete May 5-7 at The Meadows Golf Course in Allendale, Mich., hosted by Grand Valley State.
UIS will join 17 other teams from across the East Region, including top seeds Findlay, Grand Valley State, Missouri-St. Louis, and UIndy. The full list of qualifying teams includes:

17. Glenville State
18. Illinois Springfield
Six individual qualifiers from non-advancing teams will also compete at the event.
The Prairie Stars secured their postseason spot after a strong showing at the GLVC Championships, advancing to match play semifinals for the second time in three years. They will look to build on that momentum as they take on the best of the East Region.
UIS is making its third consecutive NCAA regional appearance. Last year, the team placed 14th out of 15, but Elaine Grant stood out with a third-place individual finish and advanced to the national championship.
