The UIS Prairie Stars finished seventh out of 15 GLVC member schools in the 2024-25 Great Lakes Valley Conference Commissioner's Cup standings, earning 71 points in the competition. UIS also placed ninth out of 19 schools in the GLVC All-Sports Trophy standings.

The Commissioner's Cup awards points based on a school's finish in GLVC postseason tournaments and regular-season league standings across eight sports: baseball, men's and women's basketball, women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, softball, and women's indoor and outdoor track and field.

The GLVC All-Sports Trophy recognizes the institution with the best overall performance across all 24 conference-sponsored sports, including associate members competing in bowling and women's lacrosse. Points are awarded based on finishes in conference tournaments and regular-season standings.
