UIS women's basketball standout Kayla Rice has been named to the All-GLVC Second Team, as announced by the league office on Wednesday. Additionally, Niyah Udoiwod was recognized as the team's GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award honoree.
Rice, a sophomore guard, was a key playmaker for the Prairie Stars this season, leading the team with her scoring ability and defensive presence. She finished the year averaging 15.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.9 steals per game, making a significant impact on both ends of the floor.
Among GLVC players, Rice ranked:
- First in total steals (81)
- Fourth in three-pointers per game (2.5)
- Sixth in scoring (15.8 ppg)
- Sixth in three-point percentage (30%)
