UIS provides a unique, student-focused educational experience that emphasizes learning in and outside of the classroom. Every measure has been taken with the utmost care and consideration to support safety for living, learning, working and training at UIS. We are United In Safety.
Summer/Fall 2022
UIS maintains an unwavering commitment to academic excellence and the health and safety of our campus community. Therefore, the initial vaccination series is required for all on-ground students, faculty and staff.
Face Coverings
Mask wearing is optional in most indoor public spaces as long as social distancing can be maintained. Masks are required in specific areas on campus, including healthcare settings and the testing site. See the full list of locations where masks are required. No additional requirements for face coverings should be implemented for particular units, spaces or events.
