Choosing the right college is one of the biggest decisions you’ll make. At the University of Illinois Springfield, students consistently say they’ve found the perfect fit. Why? Because UIS offers more than just a degree. With personalized learning, a supportive and inclusive campus community, real-world experience and leadership opportunities that help you grow, UIS sets students up for success from day one.

But don’t just take our word for it. Hear directly from our students about why they love being a Prairie Star!

UIS Faculty and Staff,

Want to learn to play pickleball? Want to play with colleagues at various skill levels?

Human Resources and Campus Recreation are teaming up to offer pickleball on Court 3 in TRAC!

The start of a new academic year is an exciting but sometimes overwhelming experience for new students, especially when it comes to finding yourself, getting involved, establishing a community and excelling in your classes. At the University of Illinois Springfield, there are many opportunities available that will allow you to engage with your peers, develop meaningful connections and access resources that will help you shine as our newest Prairie Star. Curious to know how you can find your community at UIS? We have solutions!

The arena in TRAC will be closed for a refinish and repaint job beginning Monday, April 29 until Wednesday, May 29. This is completed approximately every ten years.

The rest of the facility will remain open as normal.
