Alex Wolfe

I received my Bachelors in Exercise Science, Masters in Exercise Physiology, and I am currently earning my Doctorate in Teaching and Learning with an emphasis in Science Education from Illinois State University. I primarily identify as a Pediatric Exercise Physiologist and study physical activity and fitness during childhood and adolescence. I currently live in Mahomet with my wife Valerie, I am the father of three boys, Asher, Reagan and Charlie. I was initially interested in exercise science due to my involvement in sports such as wrestling and Judo.

Marcel Yoder

Marcel is a professor in the Exercise Science program in the School of Health Sciences. He earned his undergraduate degree at Goshen College (1992; IN), master's degree at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana (1995), and his doctorate at the University of Louisville (1999; KY).

Misty Sax

Dr. Sax has been a member of Master of Athletic Training Program since 2020. Her educational background includes BS in Physical Education with Exercise Science emphasis from Virginia Tech, MS in Sports Medicine from the University of Oregon, and PhD in Athletic Training from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, UT. Clinically, Dr. Sax worked in the clinical/outreach setting and Collegiate setting for 18+ years before transitioning to full-time in higher education.
