Dr. Bellraj (Bell) Eapen is an Assistant Professor of Information Systems. With a background in clinical medicine, he earned an MS in eHealth and a Ph.D. in Information Systems from McMaster University, Canada. His extensive industry experience is drawn from significant roles across various prominent healthcare organizations in both public and private sectors. Additionally, Dr.

I received my Bachelors in Exercise Science, Masters in Exercise Physiology, and I am currently earning my Doctorate in Teaching and Learning with an emphasis in Science Education from Illinois State University. I primarily identify as a Pediatric Exercise Physiologist and study physical activity and fitness during childhood and adolescence. I currently live in Mahomet with my wife Valerie, I am the father of three boys, Asher, Reagan and Charlie. I was initially interested in exercise science due to my involvement in sports such as wrestling and Judo.

Dr. Sax has been a member of Master of Athletic Training Program since 2020. Her educational background includes BS in Physical Education with Exercise Science emphasis from Virginia Tech, MS in Sports Medicine from the University of Oregon, and PhD in Athletic Training from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, UT. Clinically, Dr. Sax worked in the clinical/outreach setting and Collegiate setting for 18+ years before transitioning to full-time in higher education.

Miriam L. Wallace is Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Illinois-Springfield, and Professor of English. She is a graduate of Swarthmore College (BA) and the University of California, Santa Cruz (MA/PhD) in Literature. As a proud liberal arts graduate, she advocates for the value and impact of academic study, art making and performance, public presentations, and study abroadâ¿¿noting their impact on self-confidence, intellectual curiosity, and personal and professional growth.

Dr. Lee received his Ph.D. in epidemiology from the University of Memphis School of Public Health in 2019 and his MS in epidemiology from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in 2015. His research centers on children's health, with a particular focus on quantitative methods in epidemiology and biostatistics. He uses large-scale population-based data to examine environmental exposures, comorbidity patterns, and health outcomes.

Dr. Madrigal joined the School of Integrated Sciences, Sustainability, and Public Health in the College of Health, Science, and Technology at the University of Illinois Springfield in August 2025. She received her Ph.D. in epidemiology from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Public Health, where she was a National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) fellow.
