This luncheon is an opportunity for us to celebrate student achievements and ambition, while also celebrating the kindness of donors who make scholarships happen. This event puts donors and scholarship recipients at the same table, sharing dreams, hope, and ambitions over a meal.

Come watch our undergraduate, graduate and campus based students compete in the first Analytics House Cup. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams.
We are in a time of change, polarization, and in some states, increased legislative challenges to what and how we teach. These challenges are leading to ongoing debates within our discipline linked to shifting professional norms and values and the impacts our pedagogical practices in preparing the next generation of public service leaders.
Hear from an expert in the field of autism on what it’s like to be an autistic student and how educators and students can find common ground in and out of the classroom. Mr. Sweeting is a dynamic speaker who challenges us to question how we approach teaching neurodivergent students using traditional classroom practice. He shares what it’s like to be a college student with autism and how educators can make small changes that yield lasting success for students on the autism spectrum.
This online "mini-conference" will be hosted by the CFE with OPEL Faculty Fellows Livia Arndal Woods and José Irizarry and the 2022-23 members of the UIS Inclusive Teaching Bookclub. Faculty, staff, and students are all welcome to attend. Full schedule to follow.

All graduates wishing to participate in Commencement on May 13, 2023 must submit an Intent to Participate form by March 20. Only those who are eligible are able to submit their intent to participate form. This step is required, even for students who are making special cap and gown arrangements (E.g., borrowing a black cap and gown).
