We are thrilled to announce the 2025 Undergraduate Library Research Award winners, sponsored by Brookens Library and the Friends of Brookens Library. This award recognizes UIS undergraduate students whose academic work demonstrates exceptional information literacy skills and incorporates the use of Brookens Library’s collections and services.

After careful review and deliberation by our committee, we are pleased to present the following winners:

First Place:

Dear UIS Faculty Members:

The Senate Committee on the Library invites you to participate in a brief survey designed to better understand how faculty use, value, and evaluate library resources. Your insights are vital in helping us improve and tailor library services to better support your teaching, research, and professional needs.

The survey will take approximately 5–10 minutes to complete and will remain open until midnight on April 16th.

On Friday, March 14, the library will transition to the new EBSCOhost user interface. EBSCOhost has used customer feedback, usage data, user research, and usability studies to update the EBSCOhost interface.  All EBSCOhost databases—including Academic Search Complete, PsycInfo, and others have the new interface. While the database content will remain the same, the user interface will provide users with a more intuitive, streamlined search experience.
