Andrew Synoradzki of Ballon, County Carlow, Ireland, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2023 and awarded a $8,000 Lincoln Merit Scholarship for tuition over four years.

The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of four years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.

A recent graduate of FCJ Secondary School, he will major in marketing at UIS and play on the men’s soccer team.

Mariam Ndow of Serekunda, The Gambia, a 2022 graduate of Marina International School, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2023 and awarded a $32,000 Lincoln Merit Scholarship for tuition over four years. At UIS, she will major in biochemistry.  

The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of four years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.

Cassandra Goudreau of Woodstock, Illinois, a recent graduate of Woodstock High School, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2023 and awarded a $36,000 Capital Scholars Honors Program Scholarship for tuition over four years. At UIS, she plans to major in marketing.  

The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of four years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.

Kailyn Middleton of New Berlin, a senior at New Berlin High School, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2023 and awarded a $10,000 Memorial Pre-Nursing Scholarship, which is renewable annually.

At New Berlin High School, she has been involved in Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), Key Club, Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) and FFA.

Jillian Krieger of Decatur, a senior at St. Teresa High School, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2023 and awarded a $32,000 Capital Scholars Honors Program Scholarship for tuition over four years. At UIS, she plans to major in legal studies.

Steel Anderson of Andalusia, Illinois, a senior at Morning Star Academy in Bettendorf, Iowa, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2023 and awarded a $36,000 Capital Scholars Honors Program Scholarship for tuition over four years. At UIS, he plans to major in business.

Colton Kern of Williamsville, a senior at Williamsville High School, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2023 and awarded a $24,000 Lincoln Merit Scholarship for tuition over four years. At UIS, he will major in computer science.

Ayreal White of Chicago, a senior at Noble Muchin College Prep, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2023 and awarded a $4,000 Lincoln Merit Scholarship for tuition over four years. At UIS, she will major in business administration.

The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of four years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.

She said she chose UIS “because it is a small campus and a beautiful place to start your education.”

Caydence Lomprez-Ervin of Springfield, a recent gradaute of Lanphier High School, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2023 and awarded a $24,000 Lincoln Merit Scholarship for tuition over four years. At UIS, she will major in psychology.

The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of four years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.

At Lanphier, she played volleyball and was a member of the National Honor Society.

Gabriella Przygocki of Lawrenceville, a senior at Red Hill High School, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2023 and awarded a $40,000 Capital Scholars Honors Program Scholarship for tuition over four years. At UIS, she plans to major in accountancy.
