The Illinois Springfield baseball team fell 10-9 to Davenport on Tuesday afternoon in Michigan after a walk-off single ended a back-and-forth battle between regional opponents. The Prairie Stars fell to 30-14.
As announced by the NCAA on Monday afternoon, the Illinois Springfield women's golf team has officially earned a spot in the 2025 NCAA Division II East Regional. The Prairie Stars will compete May 5-7 at The Meadows Golf Course in Allendale, Mich., hosted by Grand Valley State.
UIS will join 17 other teams from across the East Region, including top seeds Findlay, Grand Valley State, Missouri-St. Louis, and UIndy. The full list of qualifying teams includes:

Junior pitcher Rosie Bartletti was named GLVC Pitcher of the Week after throwing 17.2 innings with 20 strikeouts over two road starts to close the regular season.
Bartletti tossed a complete-game win at Upper Iowa on Saturday, allowing just six hits and one unearned run with six strikeouts. She followed with a dominant outing at Lewis, keeping the Flyers hitless and scoreless through six innings before finishing with 10.2 innings pitched, 14 strikeouts, and just two earned runs in an extra-inning loss.

The UIS softball team dropped both games of its final regular-season doubleheader at Lewis, falling 4-3 in 11 innings in game one and 5-0 in game two. The Prairie Stars finish the regular season with a 29-18 overall record and a 17-11 mark in GLVC play. It is the first time UIS has been swept in a conference doubleheader since the GLVC opener against Truman State on March 7.
The UIS women's golf team advanced to the match play semifinals at the GLVC Championship for the second time in three years. Competing as the No. 4 seed, the Prairie Stars faced top-seeded UMSL in Sunday morning's matchup.
The UIS women's golf team competed in stroke play at the GLVC Championship at Oakwood Country Club in Coal Valley, Ill., on Friday and Saturday. The Prairie Stars started strong and remained among the top four teams after 54 holes, securing a spot in Sunday's medal/match play semifinals. The Prairie Stars were led by All-GLVC athlete Elaine Grant, who was fourth overall.
The UIS softball team traveled to Fayette, Iowa, on Saturday, sweeping Upper Iowa with victories of 6-1 and 7-4 to improve to 29-16 overall and 17-9 in GLVC play. With the wins, UIS secured a spot in the GLVC tournament.
The UIS baseball team earned another series win at Southwest Baptist on Saturday, clinching a GLVC tournament berth with 10-2 and 9-4 wins. The Prairie Stars remain in the No. 2 spot in the GLVC standings.
The UIS baseball team faced Southwest Baptist on the road, starting with a Friday night doubleheader in Bolivar, Mo., with the first game beginning at 6:15 p.m. and the second at 9:30 p.m. due to a rain delay.
