The UIS women's golf team completed its second of three rounds at the Emerald Coast Collegiate on Monday at Sandestin Baytowne in Destin, Fla., sitting 17th in the team standings with a score of 651 (328-323) heading into Tuesday's final round.
Elaine Grant continues to lead the Prairie Stars and is tied for fifth individually after rounds of 70 and 73 for a two-round total of 143 (+1). Grant followed her opening-round 70 with another strong performance Monday, carding a 73 to remain among the tournament's top competitors.
UIS softball heads to Columbus, Ohio, for spring break action against the Ohio Dominican Panthers. UIS hosted the Panthers at the UIS Softball Capital City McDonald's Classic back in mid-February, where the teams split a set of games. This regional matchup is one both teams would like to come out on top of.
Due to a minor schedule adjustment, the teams will now play a doubleheader beginning at 11:00 a.m. CT (12:00 p.m. ET).

The UIS Prairie Stars women's basketball team capped off an impressive 2025-26 season with a balanced 14-14 record and clear momentum under second-year head coach Olivia Birt. The Prairie Stars improved by nine wins over the previous season and remained in the hunt for postseason play until the final days of the regular season.

Illinois Springfield baseball (11-6) secured a 14-11 victory over Davenport (6-10) on Sunday at the UIS Baseball Field. The home team was powered by six doubles and two home runs, effectively overcoming a five-run second inning by the visitors.
Illinois Springfield women's golf opened play at UMSL's Emerald Coast Collegiate on Sunday with a team score of 328 in the first round at the Sandestin Baytowne Golf Course.
Elaine Grant led the Prairie Stars with a strong one-under 70 in the first round. Grant recorded three birdies on the day and posted matching 35s on the front and back nine to pace the UIS lineup.

For the second straight day, UIS split two games against MIAA opponents in the Grand Slam Classic in Branson, Mo. The Prairie Stars completed a two-game sweep of Nebraska Kearney and dropped a decision to Washburn for the second day.

A two-run homer by freshman Emme Steward put the Stars ahead to stay as UIS knocked off Nebraska Kearney for the second day, this time, 5-2. The teams traded runs in the third with senior Olivia DeLuca recording the RBI for the Stars.
The UIS softball team (13-5) split a pair of non-conference games on the opening day of the Grand Slam Classic in Branson, Mo., falling to Washburn (23-4) in the opener, then edging Nebraska Kearney (9-14) in the second contest.

Illinois Springfield baseball (10-4) secured a 13-9 victory over Davenport (4-9) on Friday, highlighted by a six-run rally in the seventh inning. The UIS defense was strong, notching 16 assists, which exceeded their season average of 9.64
