The University of Illinois Springfield Visual Arts Gallery annual silent auction and benefit will take place both online and on-site at the gallery this year. The silent auction and benefit, featuring original works of art donated by local and regional artists, will launch online on Nov. 15 and remain live through final bidding at 7 p.m. Dec. 2. You can view the auction online.

Works that are available online will be on view at the Visual Arts Gallery from Nov. 29 through Dec. 2. A final bidding reception will take place at the gallery from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2. All bids must be placed through the auction website.

Proceeds from the annual auction provides for gallery programming throughout the year and allows the gallery to bring ambitious exhibitions by emerging and established artists to UIS. The auction will feature a variety of media: painting, collage, ceramics, sculpture, prints, glass and more, donated by artists and donors in Springfield, central Illinois, St. Louis and Chicago.

Springfield artist donors will include Brytton Bjorngaard, Missy Block, Joan Burmeister, Eric Burton, Delinda Chapman, Mario Clarke, Betsy Dollar, Christy Freeman, Colleen Halford, Pam Hamilton, Shane Harris, Bernie White Hatcher, Monica Hohimer, Allison Lacher, Barbie Lafrance, Phil Locascio, Ruthann Mazrim, Anna Mulch, Marco Mulder, Felicia Olin, Mary Ellen Strack, Elisabeth Thai, Kevin Veara, Jeff Williams and more.

As always, the UIS Visual Arts Gallery looks to the loyal community to champion their work. Please visit the online auction and bid and visit the gallery to see the available works – or donate directly to the gallery as a show of your support.
