SPRINGFIELD, IL (March 14, 2022) – Novice UIS competitor Meghan Vlcek won extemporaneous speaking at the Last Chance at Illinois State Tournament held online from March 8th – 11th. Extemporaneous speaking is an event where students receive questions about the news and have a limited time to research and prepare their response. Vlcek has been focusing on this event since she joined the team this past fall.
