SPRINGFIELD, IL (February 28, 2022) – Novice UIS competitor Meghan Vlcek continued her streak of strong performances at the Online Asynchronous Tournament Series (OATS) sixth competition. This tournament was hosted by Southwest Minnesota State University and featured competition from 49 universities and colleges representing nearly 20 different states.
Vlcek entered extemporaneous speaking and nearly advancing to finals. Coach Timothy Bill noted that “It’s been great to see Meghan continuing to improve after every competition this season. She was only a few points away from advancing to finals at a tough competition. I’m very excited to see her continue to grow as a speaker and as a leader. ”
