Good morning:
UIS has re-established a SHIELD saliva-based COVID-19 testing site on campus available to active-status students, faculty and staff this semester. The site opens TODAY in a new location: Classroom 28 in the WUIS Building (see campus map for location). Please note: The UIS SHIELD site is no longer providing testing to members of the public.
Hours of operations are:
- Mondays: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Fridays-Sundays: CLOSED
Face coverings are required when visiting the testing site. Enter through the East Quad doors or the doors closest to Parking Lot B. Please do not enter via the southwest corner entrance (across from the Cox Child Care Center). Signage will be posted within the building directing you to the testing location.
Results may take up to 48 hours to post to your account.
All students, faculty and staff who live, learn or work on campus and are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 must test once per week this fall. Testing will be monitored, and those out of compliance may face student or employee discipline.
