Sarah Dunnagan, M.A. Legal Studies Master’s Degree – 1999

As Associate Director at National Louis University, Mrs. Dunnagan acted as a key player in the implementation of Customer Relations Management software for the enrollment department to help “serve those who serve.” Her job allows her to be part of an institution whose mission is to assist teachers and health care workers. The skills she learned in the Legal Studies Master’s Degree Program helped her improve her research ability, organize the information and apply it to the appropriate circumstance. She states that “the knowledge I gained in the Legal Studies Master’s Degree Program had provided me a plan for nearly every situation, no matter if it was in my professional or personal life.”

Mrs. Dunnagan graduated from UIS in 1999 with her Legal Studies Master’s Degree. She chose this Program because she says, “I was interested in the Legal Studies Master’s Degree Program since it allowed me to work with information gathering as well as organization.” Mrs. Dunnagan utilized the UIS Legal Studies Master’s Degree Program to sharpen her information gathering and analyzing skills to lead her down her current career path.

Mrs. Dunnagan valued the engaging learning experience she received in the Legal Studies Master’s Degree Program. The dynamic discussions and constant interaction with fellow students and faculty allowed her to develop long-lasting relationships within the Legal Studies Master’s Degree Program. She advises prospective Legal Studies students that although the Program is perplexing, the “tools and abilities you acquire will be applicable, useful and meaningful in anything you do.” She states that the Legal Studies Master’s Degree is a challenging program but to not be disheartened. Mrs. Dunnagan encourages students to “pursue interests and build on which you enjoy. The Legal Studies Master’s Degree Program may lead you down a different path of interest. But you will learn necessary skills to help you successfully in the career that you choose.”
