Bio: Rebecca Dieken is the Research Program Evaluation Manager in the Bureau of Safety Programs and Engineering at the Illinois Department of Transportation. In this role, she designs and conducts analyses to reduce fatalities and serious injuries on Illinois roads. She also serves as a Behavioral Traffic Safety Cooperative Research Program Panel Member at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, in which she oversees research that aims to increase traffic safety for children in Ride-Sharing environments nationwide. Additionally, she serves as a National Cooperative Highway Research Program Panel Member at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine by guiding research activities that incorporate driver behavior into Crash Modification Factors for highway safety across all states.
