The University of Illinois Springfield College of Business and Management is proud to recognize KEB for its investment in student success and its commitment to strengthening connections between higher education and the business community.

With its largest office located in Springfield and employing approximately 100 professionals, KEB saw a natural opportunity to partner with UIS and support the next generation of business leaders. According to KEB Partner-in-Charge Josh Clark, the firm's commitment is rooted in one of its core values: giving generously.

"As a Springfield-based office, we recognize the important role UIS plays in preparing future professionals," Clark said. "This partnership allows us to invest in programs that benefit students while also creating opportunities for meaningful collaboration between the university and the business community."

Through its support of the College of Business and Management, KEB hopes to create lasting opportunities for students, faculty and industry professionals to learn from one another. The partnership is designed to foster greater engagement between the classroom and the workplace through guest presentations, campus recruiting, professional development opportunities and experiential learning.

The entire partnership at KEB envisions a relationship that extends beyond traditional philanthropy. The firm's long-term goal is to help build a sustainable pipeline of talented students who can gain valuable experience through internships and potentially transition into full-time careers after graduation.

"Our hope is to create opportunities for students to explore careers, gain real-world experience and develop the skills needed to succeed in today's business environment," Clark said.

As business practices continue to evolve, Clark emphasized the importance of students developing both technical and interpersonal skills. While technology and artificial intelligence are changing the way organizations operate, he noted that communication, teamwork, problem-solving and relationship-building remain essential qualities for career success.

"The professionals who will thrive in the future are those who are comfortable with technology while also being able to work effectively with others," Clark explained.

The College of Business and Management shares this vision and remains committed to preparing graduates who are ready to make an immediate impact in the workforce. Partnerships with organizations like KEB help ensure students have access to industry insights, networking opportunities and hands-on experiences that complement their academic studies.

The College of Business and Management is grateful to Josh Clark and the entire KEB team for their generosity, leadership and commitment to supporting UIS students. Their investment is helping shape the future of business education while strengthening the workforce and economic vitality of the Springfield region.
