With rents increasing and interest rates on home loans going up, people have been left with the question, "Is it better to rent or own a home?"
Kenneth Kriz, University of Illinois Springfield's distinguished professor of public administration, said there isn't a right answer.
"The housing prices have been rising dramatically," Kriz said.
However, Springfield is still a relatively inexpensive housing market, according to Kriz.
