Congratulations on your elligibility to graduate! This is a quick reminder of some important deadlines that are quickly approaching. If you have not already done so, take action now to ensure your participation in Commencement ceremonies on May 14.
Required Intent to Participate Form Due March 21
Confirm your participation in Commencement by submitting an intent to participate form by midnight March 21. This step is required for all students who wish to walk in ceremonies.
Student Commencement Speaker
The student commencement speaker is an important tradition at UIS. All graduating students are eligible to audition; representatives of the faculty and the student body will select the speaker. The chosen graduate will speak at both ceremonies. Apply by 5 p.m. March 18. Auditions will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 25 via Zoom.
Reminder: Graduate Salute Next Week
Purchase your cap and gown during Graduate Salute, sponsored by the UIS Bookstore and Herff Jones. Additional graduation merchandise will be available including diploma frames and announcements.
Location: UIS Bookstore, Public Affairs Center, lower level
- Thursday, March 24, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Friday, March 25, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Saturday, March 26, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
