Dear colleagues,

I hope this finds you well and you are enjoying the start of summer. I am pleased to report that Lynn Fisher (CLASS) will be returning to the Senate Executive Committee for AY26-27 as Parliamentarian and Taylor Lester (COLRs – civil service) has agreed to join the SEC as Secretary. Thanks to Lynn, Taylor, and Kristi Barnwell (Vice Chair) for their willingness to take on these important roles. I believe Kristi, Lynn, and Taylor each bring unique expertise, experience, and institutional knowledge to the SEC and I am confident that they will all do their best to help lead the UIS Campus Senate in the upcoming year.  

I am very much looking forward to working with all senators and our newly elected Student Government Association president during the upcoming academic year! If you ever have questions or issues you would like the senate to consider, please do not hesitate to reach out to me, any member of the SEC, or your respective senator(s).
