Join us for Shades: What Is My Identity? on Monday, November 9, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the Diversity Center. We'll begin with a presentation on intentionality and identity, exploring how our experiences, values, cultures, and communities shape who we are. Participants will then create a personalized stick figure craft, using colors, symbols, words, and drawings to represent the many parts of their identity and reflect on what makes them uniquely themselves.
Shades is a discussion-based event series open to all UIS students, faculty, and staff. The goal of this series is to create a safe and affirming space where we can explore topics of identity while bringing together QTPOC (Queer & Trans People of Color) students and allies on campus. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Open to UIS students, faculty, and staff.
For questions or accommodation requests, contact us at GSS@uis.edu or 217-206-8316.
