Service-a-thon: Shed some Paint & Garden Refresh

Help give the UIS Campus Community Garden a fresh new look! Volunteers will work together on projects such as cleaning, prepping, and painting the garden shed and tackling seasonal gardening tasks. Whether you’re helping with a fresh coat of paint or getting your hands in the garden, your work will help care for this campus space and create a welcoming environment for students, staff, and community gardeners. No painting or gardening experience is necessary, and all supplies will be provided. Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty or paint on and join us for a fun service project with a lasting impact on campus.

Bring your own water, sunscreen, and a cap or head covering (optional).

Students who need special accommodations to participate in this event are encouraged to contact our office in advance at 217-206-7716 or email volunteer@uis.edu. We are happy to work with you to ensure an accessible and inclusive experience for all participants.
