Aiming to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to do the same. In order to maintain sustainability, we must use nature’s resources at a rate at which they can still be replenished quickly enough to uphold ecological balance.
Water Filling Stations
- Several water bottle refilling stations have been installed in both residence halls and the classroom side of Brookens.
- These stations will prevent the consumption of countless plastic bottles,
significantly reducing the university’s plastic consumption
Reusable Food Containers
- 1,000 reusable clam shells have been purchased, and will be passed out to students in Fall 2019.
- By giving students reusable clam shells, we are encouraging the students to save money and reduce the waste they produce when they take food home.
