About the Student Union
Mission
The Student Union is the focal point of campus and student life and is the heart of the university campus, a place where students, along with faculty and staff, can spend time with friends, collaborate on academic and leadership activities, and create an inclusive and welcoming campus community.
The UIS Student Union is a bright, vibrant space. The building opened January 14, 2018. The first Student Union on the UIS campus offers a formal ballroom, a Starbucks coffee shop, Student Leadership Center, on campus dining, meeting space, a game room, and lounges.

- Monday – Friday 7:30am – 10:00pm
- Saturday – Sunday 10:30am – 10:00pm

Student Union Food Studio
- Monday – Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 10:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- CLOSED FOR CLEANING: MONDAY-FRIDAY 10:00 A.M. – 10:45 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. – 3:45 P.M. and SATURDAY-SUNDAY 3:00 – 3:45 P.M.
