Meeting our online students is a joyous event for the faculty and staff at UIS. For many of our online students, commencement is their first visit to our beautiful campus and first time meeting a favorite faculty member. The most anticipated greetings are often among our grads and their online program coordinators. It is a unique bond.

Though safer-at-home orders keep us at a distance for commencement this year, our pride in your achievements cannot be contained. For our virtual celebration, UIS leaders, faculty, and online program coordinators have sent messages of congratulations. We are delighted to celebrate you today.

Earning your degree online requires tremendous self-discipline and determination: juggling schedules, keeping organized, studying late into the night, and rising early to make deadlines.
