The University of Illinois Springfield Visual Arts Gallery Annual Silent Auction and Benefit will take place both online and on-site at the gallery this year. The Silent Auction and Benefit, featuring original works of art donated by local and regional artists, will launch online on Monday, Nov. 14 and remain live through final bidding at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1. The online auction can be found online.

Works that are available online will be on view at the Visual Arts Gallery from Nov. 28-Dec. 1. A final bidding reception will take place at the gallery from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1. All bids must be placed through the auction website.

Proceeds from the annual auction provides for gallery programming throughout the year and supports the gallery in bringing ambitious exhibitions by emerging and established artists to UIS. The auction will feature a variety of media: painting, collage, ceramics, sculpture, prints, glass and more, donated by artists and donors from the Springfield community and beyond.

As always, the UIS Visual Arts Gallery looks to the loyal community to champion their work. Please visit the online auction to bid and visit the gallery to see the available works – or donate directly to the gallery as a show of your support.

For more information, visit the UIS Visual Arts Gallery website or contact the gallery at 217-206-6506 or iszab2@uis.edu.
