WHAT: The University of Illinois Springfield Center for State Policy and Leadership, College of Public Affairs and Education and Win Together will host a Government Excellence Network Summit that will bring together local government and non-profit leaders for a shared learning experience aimed at empowering them with innovative strategies and practical solutions to drive excellence in their communities.

WHEN: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 25

WHERE: UIS Student Union Ballroom, 2251 Richard Wright Drive, Springfield

DETAILS: Some of the topics that will be covered include the emerging role of AI, strategic planning best practices, continuous improvement in government, leadership strategies, behavioral and cognitive diversity and effective improvement techniques for delivering value quickly.

The program will cover the three pillars of transformation: people, process and technology, and will provide participants with a clear path to excellence in today's challenging, resource-constrained environment. 

In addition to summit admission, the registration fee of $197 includes lunch the day of the event as well as access to Government Excellence Network's Introduction to Lean for Government eLearning class. Registration is now underway online.
