WHAT: The University of Illinois Springfield Campus Recreation Department will host the annual Health and Safety Fair. This year’s theme is “Don’t Gamble with your Health.” This event is free and open to the public, UIS students, faculty, staff and alumni.

WHEN: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2022

WHERE: The Recreation and Athletic Center, 2171 University Drive, Springfield

DETAILS: The event will feature several off-campus health and safety vendors, including Align Life Chiropractic and Natural Health Center, First Step Women’s Center, Health Alliance Medical Plan, Illinois Assistive Technology Program, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois Secretary of State Organ and Tissue Donor Program, Impact Life Blood Services, Memorial Health (several departments), Molina Healthcare, Reid Family Wellness, Springfield Fire Department, Springfield Running Center and Supplement Super Store.

UIS departments and organizations taking part include Brookens Library, Campus Recreation, Counseling Center, Gender and Sexuality Services, Red Cross CPR AED, UIC College of Nursing, UIS Exercise is Medicine, UIS Health Services, UIS Police Department, Volunteer Center and Women Center.

There will be door prizes and a drunk goggle free throw contest with the UIS Police Department. ImpactLife will also be holding a blood drive during the fair. Donor registration is required.
