WHAT: University of Illinois Springfield Chancellor Janet L. Gooch will host a conversation with Mylas Copeland as part of her Chancellor’s Thinkers Series event titled “A Call to Think: We’re All in This Together.”

DETAILS: The discussion will center on servant and authentic leadership, exploring what motivates Copeland to give back so consistently and generously. A respected community leader in Springfield, Copeland is known for his deep commitment to service and active involvement across multiple organizations through board leadership.
Through this dialogue, Chancellor Gooch and Copeland will examine the mindset of “We’re All in This Together,” highlighting how collaboration, connection and civic engagement strengthen communities.
The Chancellor’s Thinkers Series is designed to inspire diverse perspectives and encourage intentional thinking. Each session includes a “featured thinker” from a variety of disciplines who engages in meaningful dialogue with Chancellor Gooch on topics tied to their expertise.
