Meet Erica Thomas, a communication major from Springfield, Illinois. She chose the University of Illinois Springfield because it was affordable and close to family.

After earning her undergraduate degree at UIS, Erica returned to continue her education through a master’s program. She says she’s grateful to be part of such a welcoming community.
