Bio

Patrobas is a Lawyer from Uganda who served on the Equal Opportunities Commission in Uganda from its inception in 2010 until 2021 when he came to do a Master of Laws at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign in the United States. He is an advocate of human rights and equal opportunities. His role as a Member of the Commission at the Equal Opportunities Commission which is a quasi-judicial entity was primarily to preside over cases of discrimination reported to the Commission. 

As a full-time Commission Member, he oversaw different office departments and chaired several recruitment and disciplinary panels. 

Before joining the commission, Patrobas worked as a banker with KCB Bank Uganda Limited where he was a Business Banker, Credit Analyst, and Section Head Front Office in succession.  

He obtained his Bachelor of Laws Degree from Uganda Christian University. He is passionate about leadership and is involved in leadership development, mentoring, and training. 

He served in the students guild government at Uganda Christian University for the four years that he was there including being Guild Speaker of the Student body and Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs. Patrobas served as Caretaker President and Speaker of the Uganda National Students Association which is an umbrella body of all post-primary students in Uganda and was established to advocate and ensure the welfare of all students in the country. 

Patrobas has been a Rotarian since 2013 and has been engaged in various community projects and initiatives, especially in his home country, Uganda. He has served in various leadership positions in his Club, and District 9212 which was recently redistricted to 9214. 

Patrobas is married and has three children.
