Michele Gribbins, associate provost for institutional research and effectiveness at the University of Illinois Springfield, has joined the UPCEA Board’s policy committee for 2026-2027.
UPCEA is an online and professional education association that supports research, professional development, networking, mentorship and advocacy to improve educational access and outcomes.
With more than 29 years of higher education experience, Gribbins oversees and coordinates UIS’ data-informed planning, assessment and continuous improvement, as well as institutional accreditation with the Higher Learning Commission. She recently served on UPCEA’s finance committee and previously held leadership roles in the online administration network and central region.
“This role allows me to bring UIS’ voice to national conversations about the policies that impact adult learners, working professionals, and students seeking flexible pathways to success,” Gribbins said. “It also provides an opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across the nation who share a deep commitment to expanding access and innovation in higher education. UIS has long been recognized for its leadership in online learning, and this appointment underscores our dedication to advancing policies that will guide the next generation of educational opportunities.”
Gribbins will serve as a member of the policy committee for a one-year term from 2026 through 2027.
