Welcome New HR Employee

Please help welcome Ben Reinhart to the HR staff! Ben will be working alongside Carlene Hindert in assisting with Division Liaison work for Academic Affairs. In this role he will provide support for all personnel needs, such as: classification and compensation analysis of positions; pre-employment screening and onboarding; and separation processes that include exit interviews and leave payouts. Outside of his work at UIS, Ben enjoys golf, bowling, watching NFL games (Go Rams!), and serves in the Illinois Air National Guard. We are delighted to add Ben as another great asset to our team!

Policy Update - Remote Work

Policy Update

Remote Work

Remote Work Agreements for Civil Service and Academic Professional employees are subject to renewal at the discretion of your unit, and agreements are not to exceed one year. Agreements must be renewed each year at a minimum. Please use the UIS Remote Work Agreement to complete initial and renewal remote work requests.

In addition, please review the Remote Work Policy with the following updates: an edit to the third paragraph regarding division head review, an addition to paragraph 24, and the addition of a resource section. In addition, UIS now has a policy for all employees seeking to work outside the State of Illinois. See the Out of State Remote Work Policy for more information.

Exit Checklist Reminder

Friendly Reminder

Exit Checklist

We would like to remind all units and supervisors of the Exit Checklist form HR provides for all separating employees. The Exit Checklist form should be provided to any employee who notifies the university of their intent to separate. This form will assist the separating employees with task items that need completed prior to, and on
the last day of, employment with the university.

The form should be completed, signed, and returned to HR upon employee separation.
