We Care: Providing Support and Safety through Sexual Misconduct Reporting

As you may recall, the majority of UIS employees are designated as “Responsible Employees,” meaning they are required to inform the Title IX Coordinator if they become aware of any incident of sexual harassment, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. In this training, we will discuss why this requirement exists, how you can report, clarify what needs to be reported, and outline how we use Responsible Employee reports to ensure impacted individuals have important information about their rights and options. There will be time for questions and discussion, with an emphasis on helping participants understand their important role in facilitating support and safety in our campus community.

This 1-hour interactive session will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, from 9-10 am via Zoom.

Search Committees

As a reminder, beginning in October, all individuals involved with AP and Faculty search & hiring processes will be required to take a training on conducting inclusive searches.

This requirement can be satisfied by taking the Academic Impressions training “Inclusive Hiring Best Practices: Removing Barriers and Mitigating Search Committee Bias.” Additional training opportunities are being explored.
