The Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE) has mandated that all public institutions of higher learning write an equity plan, which is due in May. Dr. Tena Helton is heading this effort for the UIS campus.
Dr. Helton and the UIS Equity Planning Taskforce invite the campus community to attend an open forum to review the 2024 UIS Equity Plan. Two forums will be held:
- 2024 UIS Equity Plan Forum #1: Wednesday, April 17 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM in UHB 2021
- 2024 UIS Equity Plan Forum #2: Thursday, April 18 from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM in UHB 2021
At these forums, Dr. Helton will provide a brief outline of the committee’s charge and findings, describe our strategies, and ask for feedback and additional suggested strategies/actions.
Please plan to attend one of these forums to learn about the 2024 UIS Equity Plan and to offer your input. Those attending a forum will also have the option to provide feedback by April 22nd via a webform.
