Meet Adan Salgado Carmona, a computer science major from Chicago. He chose the University of Illinois Springfield because of its affordability and the welcoming community he found through the Diversity Center. Adan is involved with the Men of Color Initiative, which has helped him connect with other students and make UIS feel like a home away from home.
