The University of Illinois Springfield College of Business and Management welcomed MBA students to its first-ever Scoop & Socialize event on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, on the fourth floor of the University Hall Building.

The event brought MBA students, faculty, and alumni together for an evening of ice cream, networking, bingo, prizes, and CBM swag. Designed to create a relaxed and welcoming space, Scoop & Socialize gave students an opportunity to meet fellow classmates, build new connections, and engage with members of the MBA community outside the classroom.

A special highlight of the evening was the presence of alumnus Sam Ganci, Vice President of Consulting Services at MSF&W Consulting. He shared valuable insight on the importance of building meaningful connections and developing professional networks. Faculty members also attended the event, creating opportunities for students to have engaging conversations and strengthen their relationships within the College of Business and Management.
