The University of Illinois Springfield shaped the way I approach complex problems as a consultant. The Master of Science in Management Information Systems program challenged me to think strategically, solve difficult problems, and approach every opportunity with curiosity and confidence. My capstone project stands out as the defining experience of my time at UIS. Spending months tackling an open-ended business problem taught me how to navigate ambiguity, defend my recommendations, and stay focused when the path forward wasn’t immediately clear.

Since graduating, I have had the privilege of building my career with Deloitte in both the United States and Canada, partnering with organizations on complex business transformation initiatives. Time and again, I have encountered challenges without a clear playbook, and the mindset I developed at UIS has helped me navigate them with confidence. Working with clients across industries and diverse teams has reinforced the importance of adaptability, collaboration, and continuous learning. I am proud to be a UIS alumnus and grateful for the education and experiences that prepared me for a global consulting career. I highly recommend the University of Illinois Springfield to anyone ready to be challenged with real-world problems and prepared for a career of meaningful impact.
