The UIS MS in Management Information Systems program gave me the perfect balance of technical depth and business perspective, equipping me with the foundation needed for a professional career in the software domain. Through coursework in database management, business analytics, information security, systems analysis, and project management, I developed the technical and business skills needed for success in the software industry. The coursework helped prepare me to design, implement, and manage information systems that drive organizational decision-making.

Just as importantly, the program gave me valuable experience working in a professional setting. As a graduate assistant in the CBM MMO department, I received invaluable support and mentorship from Dr. Sudeep Sharma, Dr. Shipra Gupta, Dr. Sevilay Onal, and all the MMO faculty. I am also grateful to Dr. Carey Applegate for her guidance during my work as a DART staff member and team lead in the ODA department. Together, these experiences shaped my professional readiness and ultimately helped me secure a position at Deloitte - a testament to the quality of education and mentorship UIS provides.
