Good afternoon,

The Title III Steering Committee invites faculty to apply for the High Impact Practice Development Fund. This fund, supported by the Title III Strengthening Institutions grant awarded to UIS in 2023, provides seed grants for programs to develop or revise a high-impact practice. The 2025-2026 Development Fund cycle will focus on capstone courses or projects, internships, and study away experiences.

Awardees will be provided $3,000 to develop or revise a high-impact practice during the 2025-2026 academic year. Expectations for awardees are attendance and participation in a two-day, in-person workshop on Tuesday, August 5th and Wednesday, August 6th, participation in regular progress meetings, and presentation of their work at the 2026 Assurance of Student Learning Day.

More information on high-impact practices can be found on the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness website. Questions about the Development Fund, expectations, or proposals can be emailed to hips@uis.edu.

Proposals will be accepted through Friday, May 16th, and awardees will be notified by the end of May.
