UIS Library December News and Events
As we close out the end of the year, the library has new events and resources available for students! We’re offering several types of research help for finals, as well as extended hours and an event to give you a study break.
Research Hours
Do you need help finishing up your research projects? We now offer drop-in research assistance with our librarians and student workers Monday – Wednesday from 1-3pm! If you stop in at the research hours from 11/24 - 12/3, you can be entered into a drawing for a gift card.
We also offer a daily chat service and research appointments with our research librarians as well if you need more in-depth assistance.
Research Hours Location: Research Arch, Main Floor of the Library
Extended Hours
Need some extra time to get more studying in? The library will be open 9am to 12am from Monday, 12/1 to Thursday, 12/4! During those days, free snacks and hot cocoa will be provided if you’re looking for an extra study boost!
Cereal Bowls and Goals
Take a breather from studying and recharge at Brookens Library! Enjoy a bowl of cereal and craft a personalized vision board to set your goals, intentions, and inspiration for the months ahead. Swing by, de-stress, and make something awesome!
Time & Location: Wednesday, December 3, from 4-6pm in BRK 230A
