The UIS women's tennis team dropped a GLVC road match 7-0 at UIndy on Saturday afternoon.

UIndy secured the early advantage by sweeping all three doubles matches. At No. 1, Niamh Grogan and Ema Norma Bordean were edged 7-5, while the No. 2 duo of Maria Garcia Gama and Alisha Deogaonkar fell 6-4. Jane Carter and Cristina Mendoza Romero rounded out doubles play with a 6-2 loss at No. 3.

In singles, UIndy carried that momentum through all six courts. Ema Norma Bordean battled at No. 1 but fell 6-4, 6-4. Cristina Mendoza Romero (6-0, 6-1), Alisha Deogaonkar (6-2, 6-0), Niamh Grogan (6-1, 6-2), Jane Carter (6-2, 6-0), and Maria Garcia Gama (6-0, 6-0) also dropped their respective matches.

UIS moves to 1-1 in GLVC play and will return home next weekend to host UMSL and Maryville.
