The UIS women's golf team finished the first round of the Flyers Spring Invitational in fourth place with a team score of 328 (+40). The final round is scheduled for Tuesday at Cantigny Golf Club.

Round Recap

• Elaine Grant led the Prairie Stars with a one-over 73 after a consistent round that included 15 pars and one birdie. She is currently at the top of the individual leaderboard.
• Sara Prieto posted an 84 (+12), followed by Lia Rody with an 85 (+13). Isabelle Segal added an 86 (+14) to round out the team's scoring.
• Drury leads the tournament with a team score of 319 (+31), followed by Davenport at 322 (+34) and Quincy at 323 (+35). Maryville and McKendree are tied for fifth at 330 (+42).

UIS will aim to improve its position in the final round on Tuesday.
